The Plymouth Brethren Christian Church is bringing forward proposals to renew its existing place of worship at Land adjacent to Bridge Farm, Luffenham Road, Ketton.
The current Gospel Hall is no longer fit for purpose. Built originally for agricultural use and subsequently repurposed for employment before being adapted to serve as a Gospel Hall, it does not meet the needs of the local congregation.
In response, we are seeking to establish a new, purpose-built, place of worship to serve the congregation within the local area.
The proposals would see the existing building at the front of the site returned to employment use, alongside the delivery of an attractive new, purpose-built Gospel Hall to the rear of the site. This new hall would serve local members of the Church and facilitate its continued positive social impact in Ketton and the wider Rutland area.
Ahead of submitting a planning application to Rutland County Council, we wish to seek your feedback. A public consultation has been launched to give local residents and businesses the opportunity to view the emerging proposals and submit their comments.
Feedback from the local community is very important to the Church and all comments received during the consultation will be carefully reviewed by the project team.
Details on how to submit comments can be found on the Your Feedback page.
An in-person drop-in event will be held on Thursday 11 September 2025, from 5 – 7pm, at the Plymouth Brethren Christian Church, Luffenham Road, PE9 3YA.
